MacReach Terms & EULA
Last updated: May 27, 2026
These terms cover the early MacReach Local release: an iPhone/iPad app plus MacReach Helper for viewing and controlling your own Mac on a local network. By using MacReach, you agree to use it only on Macs, accounts, and networks you are authorized to access.
License and permitted use
- MacReach Local is for same-network personal or authorized work use with MacReach Helper on a Mac you control or have permission to administer.
- The iPhone/iPad app is the companion viewer/controller; MacReach Helper must be installed and running on the Mac to share the screen.
- MacReach is licensed, not sold. If MacReach is distributed through Apple, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless Anthony Do provides a separate written agreement.
- You are responsible for complying with your organization’s device, security, privacy, and remote-access policies before using MacReach.
Remote access boundaries
The current MacReach Local build is designed for local-network discovery and direct connections. It does not promise cloud relay, unattended internet access, or third-party hosting of your Mac screen. Do not rely on MacReach for emergency, high-risk, or always-on access.
Permissions and consent
- MacReach Helper requires explicit macOS permissions such as Screen Recording, Accessibility, and, when prompted by macOS, Input Monitoring.
- Only approve permissions on Macs you own or are authorized to manage.
- Quit MacReach Helper from the Mac menu bar to stop remote viewing and control.
Acceptable use
- Do not use MacReach to access, view, or control a Mac without permission.
- Do not attempt to bypass pairing, licensing, macOS permissions, or security controls.
- Do not use MacReach for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or privacy-invasive activity.
Purchases and refunds
If MacReach is offered as a paid app or paid helper license, purchase and refund terms will be shown at the point of sale or in Apple’s purchase flow. For support, include your app version, helper version, and a consent-safe diagnostics report when available.
Availability and warranty
MacReach is provided as-is. Local network performance depends on your devices, Wi‑Fi, macOS permissions, system settings, and network conditions. MacReach is not warranted to be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every environment.
Changes
These terms may be updated as MacReach evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
